Edward Snowden is once again making headlines, this time about aliens. They don’t exist, according to Snowden, because he had “…ridiculous access to the networks of the NSA, the CIA, the military, all these groups. I couldn’t find anything.”
That, according to Snowden while appearing on an an episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast.
“Ridiculous access”? Perhaps, but “only” to the highly classified documents that describe the NSA’s actual programs (and not all of them, by the way), but NOT to the underlying source data and accompanying details of the tools and solutions that allow them to function.
That’s a big difference.
It’s also important to note that the NSA silos its data into various levels – many of these levels which Snowden did NOT have access to.
He stole a tremendous amount of information – a fugitive on the run – but his notion of “ridiculous access” is overstated. Let’s just say these are interesting comments from the man who stole and leaked highly classified information from the National Security Agency (NSA) in 2013.
Could be there be Aliens? Perhaps, but Snowden would never have known.
